MONICA
As a personal stylist, Monica Flaum draws from over 15 years of experience in the world of fashion and media relations. However, her sense of style and interest in clothing began at a very young age.
Born and raised in Manhattan, Monica was exposed to designers, high-end boutiques and trendsetting celebrities. Her mother is a coat, hat and belt designer whose work has graced the cover of Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. Her sister designed jewelry for Ralph Lauren's Runway Shows and Collection line and sells her own label to exclusive boutiques. Flaum grew up amidst hat molds and clothing mannequins; she was exposed to design showrooms on 7th Avenue while fashion magazines such as Woman's Wear Daily (WWD) were staples in her home. It was only natural that Monica would choose a career in fashion.
Monica graduated from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Communications where she majored in Public Relations. Still hungry for the fast-paced industry of style, she moved back to New York City and immersed herself into all things fashion including courses at Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).
In Manhattan, Monica worked at Carol Rollo's exclusive Riding High store where she teamed up with designers including Dolce and Gabbana and Jean Paul Gaultier to personally dress celebrities and socialites. Putting her PR background to use, she also worked for Lizzie Grubman Public Relations to promote celebrities, nightclubs and restaurants.

Monica moved to Pittsford, New York with her husband and two children. It was here that she began Monica G. private sales featuring New York City designer clothing and accessories for Rochester women. She put her retail and public relations experience to use to help open the Spa at the Del Monte and the Spa at Midtown.
Presently, Monica is an image consultant and personal stylist, weaving together all of her skills with the intention to help women find their own personal style. Monica believes that women should feel great about how they look and empowers her clients through a customized process. Her goal is to help clients find the perfect balance and mix of high-end designers with comfortable and practical essentials.
Through image styling, wardrobe planning and personal shopping, she works with all ages and body types to help maximize image both socially and professionally. Monica offers a confidential and non-judgmental approach with her clients.
